Motherhood by itself is a challenge. Add that to the challenge of doing it alone!
Many single mothers are raising children alone in today’s world. Mothering is one of the most amazing but also most challenging jobs! Doing it alone is even more challenging!
Many women are doing this most difficult job completely alone and doing it very well.
Are we giving them the credit they deserve?
Are we giving them the support they deserve?
Do our churches do enough to assist with their needs?
I became a single mother of three young children about thirty-five years ago. My children were 6, 8, and 11 years old.
It wasn’t easy, especially when four months after my unexpected divorce, my best friend and father passed away. I went through months of sadness and grief, but as I leaned on my Heavenly Father during those difficult years, I had a “Helper” like no other. My faith grew as I prayed through often difficult times.
If you are raising children without a mate and without a helper, look to Our Heavenly Father to meet your needs.
If you know someone who may be facing single motherhood, pray about how you can help.
You could bless the future generation with your kindness and caring.
